- We will be passing through Cochin earlier in our trip. Would it make sense to book a houseboat then, and return a week later for the actual cruise – or do boats typically leave the day after booking? Is Cochin a good starting point?

- With 2 nights, how far can we go? If we were to return to Cochin, would there be a lot of backtracking, or is there a circular route?

Unfortunatley I am really not sure whether it’s likely to see the tortoises. I didn’t come across any myself. Anyone else seen one?
